#011- 30 Day Challenge- Day 6

Today's challenge is: Your Views On Mainstream Music.

How do I feel about mainstream music? Honestly, it's kinda meh. It's ok for today's market but a lot of it is just the same thing repeated about 40 times to the same tune or it's just $#!+ that doesn't make sense. I mean take stuff like soulja boi, tik tok, and baby. Most of those songs are just mindless words thrown together to a good track. Not to say there aren't good songs every once in a while, or that I don't enjoy mainstream music. I'm just saying there's better stuff out there. I miss the 90's though when there was more substance to the mainstream music scene.

#010- 30 Day Challenge- Day 5

So today's post is: Things You Want To Say To An Ex. She may or may not see this...

What I want to say to my ex is that I'm sorry for the way things ended. That I'm glad she's happy now with her life. And that no matter what happens, what I say or do, there is still a small place for you in my heart.

#008- 30 Day Challenge- Day 3

Todays challenge: A Book You Love

Last summer I picked this up for a bit of light reading and could not put it down. There was just so much drama and suspense in this book that made it a worthwhile read.

#007-30 Day Challenge- Day 2

So day 2's challenge is Something You Feel Strongly About. There were very few things that I really feel strongly about but this was definitely up there.

My Friends

From the left: Me, Shayna, Cindy, Danielle, and Bhargava

From the left: Felix, Cindy, Dean, Munirah, Danielle, Bhargava, and Me

From the left: Adrian, Nick, Me, and Dean

From the left: Bhargava, Sebastien, Felix, Cindy, Me, and Anielisa.

Through thick and thin, these guys have always been there for me. We've had so many memories, inside jokes, etc. that I've lost count. I love them more than they may realize (until reading this post that is) and would do anything for them.

Note: If I didn't post a picture of you up here, it's because I hate you. Lol just kidding, I just spend most of my time with these guys so there's just more memories between us.

#006- 30 Day Challenge- Day 1

So the challenge for Day 1 is 5 Ways To Win Your Heart. Wow talk about starting off strong. Ok here goes.

1.) Music

At the top of my list is music. Seriously if you have good taste you already have me hooked.

2.) Laughing
I may be pretty easily amused but if you can make me genuinely laugh I'll be impressed.

3.) Talking

I don't really talk a lot at first but I like to listen and if you can hold my attention with what you're saying then either I'm really interested in what your saying or too infatuated with you to care. This brings me to my next point...

4.) Intelligent

Smart is the new sexy. I can't stand uneducated, ignorant, closed-minded people.

5.)A.R.K.

Acts of Random Kindness.

#005- Another Obsession...

Hey you guys. Once again it's Tuesday and I've started writing in here again. Seem's to be a pattern right? Well it looks like I'll have to shake things up a little with a new 30 day challenge. I saw this on a friend's blog and couldn't resist. These thing's are like crack to me so I'm gonna try and be good and post every day for this one. But this blog is a bit boring so leave questions and comments on how I'm doing or what you guys wanna know.

Anyway here's the list:

I'll try and post pictures with these as well.

#004- Stranded...

Soooooo it's Tuesday... again. Lol. This time it's the middle of Spring Break for me. Where did the weekend go?!? Feel's like I haven't gotten much done yet during the break but there's still plenty of time left for me to work on my hw/research paper. Can't believe the semester is almost over already. Soon I'll be saying goodbye to all my old friends as they graduate and move on the graduate school, or for some of them... the real world.

Sounds scary right? Going on year after year making sure you pass classes to make it to the next grade in school and the next level in your education and then finally after about 18 years of school (for those who don't go on to do their masters degree or w/e) they tell you, that's it, now go out into the real world and survive. I mean who came up with the idea that after that specific amount of time you were deemed an adult and ready to take on life? Really?

There are so many different paths to take that trying to choose what you wanna do or where you wanna go can be a very daunting task. Truth be told I'm still not even sure about my own path. I like to see myself somewhere warm where I enjoy what I do everyday. But in order to get there I still have quite a few things to take care of. But I hope to make it eventually.

So yeah the title of this post is stranded... Stranded at school and possibly regretting not going home for spring break and easter and stranded in my own mind on where to go next. How do I decide?

#003- Crunch Time

Soooo it's Tuesday. I'm sitting in the middle of one of the computing labs on campus writing this and thinking about how much I have to get done in the next few weeks. Homework to finish for Thursday. 2 midterms to study/cram for this week. Gotta finish a research paper by the end of the month. Gotta finish setting my schedule for my last semester at SBU. Gotta sign up for that summer class. Gotta figure out housing for the rest of the year. Gotta go home for a week for spring break and survive.

The more I look at this list the more I feel like setting it to Rebecca Black's -"Friday". Honestly I feel like she just wrote down random thoughts about her day and then just put music to it without editing anything. It's so terrible it's gone viral now and is actually popular, reminds me of the whole William Hung trend a few years back. I feel like its getting to the point though where people are getting tired of it and just want it to end now. I know I wouldn't miss seeing or listening to another "Friday" reference. Even though these 2 were quite funny: http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/20110411 , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5Asg5ww_Iw .

Yay random thoughts. Anyway just wanted to post something to kill some time. Gonna go get that hw done and cram for awhile. Good luck to everyone with midterms. Later.

#002- It's been too long...

So I found this again after being, gone for so long. Some of my friends have decided to start blogging and it reminded me I have one myself. Though most of the time I don't use this place because I have my journal to write stuff down in. But let me see if I can at least highlight what's been going on.

Summer: So the summer went by in kind of a blur. Spent most of it in school taking classes and generally just trying to suck less at life. Met quite a few people along the way and generally just tried to stay happy. Waaaay too many good times to mention here without getting massive typer's cramp (?).

Team Awesome Projects: So in the fall my friends and I created a new group on campus called Team Awesome. People have asked us what we do and why we are here. There are many different answers to that but this is my take on it. Team Awesome is here to raise SBU student morale, provide community service, and improve weekend life on campus. We generally just promote good causes, attend events and if possible help improve them, and compliment and give thanks to those people who make going to school at Stony Brook a much more memorable experience. That being said we've done things like, Who's Man's is This Anyway? (A program based on the show Whose Line is it Anyway? with many different improv games), daily insanity workouts, TA shoutouts to awesome people around campus, etc. These guys are great and have been like brothers to me on campus. I hope the tradition continues and we can pass the TA torch on to newbies who can carry on our legacy.

School: Well school has been one huge rollercoaster ride. That being said I won't get too into details but the plan at the moment is to finish out this semester, take 1 class in the summer, and then take my last few courses in the fall and be done with my undergrad college degree. (Finally!)

Life: Life is ok at the moment. Really it's just been about school on my end. Though I know I should be thinking more about my family as well. I just want to get done with what I'm supposed to do and move on with my life. Maybe find someone... Idk what I'll do once i'm out of school but I do know that I'll be ok because I have my family and friends behind me.

As for recent news I went to see Kina Grannis live in concert last Friday! Oh my god I was so excited. She was everything I expected her to be and her voice was pure silver (I prefer silver over gold so =P). We even got to meet her after the show and I got an autograph and a picture with her. Even though she was swamped with other fans to see just being that close to her for a few minutes made my entire weekend.

Well that's all for now, and hopefully I'll remember to post on here more frequently. Ttyl.
